At AstroPet, we are always striving to develop products that make life easier for pets and their owners. To ensure that our innovations truly convince, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the Herrenhausen Small Animal Practice from Hanover. Since the spring of 2024, the practice team has been testing our products - both in the practice and in their private environment. The positive feedback we have received has motivated us and shown that we are on the right track.

Mercury Series – User-friendly and efficient

The practice team was initially surprised at how simple the setup of the Mercury cat toilet was. The practice team said about our Mercury cat toilet: “We were amazed at how little assembly was required, and it was actually almost self-explanatory. Considering the technology involved, it was super easy for the user.” Particularly for less tech-savvy individuals, it turned out that the toilet, despite the app control, is quite easy to use if you engage with it a bit. After a short acclimatization period, the cat in the practice accepted the toilet without any problems, and the cleaning efficiency compared to conventional cat toilets was found to be significantly more practical and less labor-intensive. The noise level was also praised and described as “surprisingly quiet.” In households with up to two cats, the team considers the Mercury to be very well suited. 

Taurus Series – Practical and reliable

The Taurus feeder also impressed the practice team. Particularly the app and the ability to adjust the feeding time and amount of food were found to be very practical and user-friendly. In a household where one is often on the go, this feeder is a real relief, as it not only automates feeding but also informs you when the feeder needs to be refilled.

Poseidon Series – The favorite of the animals and the practice team

The Poseidon drinking fountain, which was tested both in the practice and in the private environment, was very well received by the team and the animals. Particularly the quiet operation and the appealing design of the fountain convinced the practice team. After trying the Poseidon in addition to a conventional drinking fountain, the animals repeatedly chose the bubbling water. “Our cats and dogs immediately accepted the fountain. Especially our tomcat loves to watch the water bubble and has been drinking significantly more since then,” reported the practice team.

Libra Series – Ideal for the practice and at home

Not least, our Libra pet grooming machine was also tested and used in practice. The vacuum is not only incredibly quiet but has also proven to be extremely practical in anesthesia preparation for dogs. The team praised the strong suction power and the innovative idea that hair is vacuumed directly during clipping.

Our Highlight - Summer Festival 2024

A special highlight of our collaboration was the invitation to the summer festival of the small animal practice Herrenhausen in July 2024. It was a great opportunity to personally exchange ideas with the entire practice team and pet owners and to present our products directly on site. We had our own stand where we had the opportunity to showcase our innovations and engage in many interesting conversations. It was really exciting to see how positively our products were received by the visitors, and we gained valuable insights that have greatly helped us in further developing our products.
